Gap adjustment and length adjustment:
Rear window frame open, luggage compartment lid closed.
Loosen nuts on luggage compartment lid of left and right hinge
bracket to the point where the luggage compartment lid can be
moved.
Caution!
When the hinge bracket screws for luggage compartment lid
are released, the position of the rear window frame changes
with respect to the luggage compartment lid.
Always check the setting of the rear window frame to the
luggage compartment lid; make an adjustment if necessary.
Adjust gap dimensions and position of trunk lid to other body
fittings.
Refer to 41 00.
The trunk lid should be approx. 1 mm lower than the side walls
and not higher.
To obtain parallel alignment of trunk lid/body beside the rear
window, it is advisable to align the top edge of the trunk lid parallel
to the edge of the D-pillar.
Gap (A) between top edge of trunk lid/edge of D-pillar
approx. 27 mm.
Note:
Rear window frame open!
Tighten down nuts of luggage compartment lid on left and right
hinge brackets.
