length A is greater than 11.0 mm or
length B is greater than 8.0 mm

at one of the measuring points.

Note when bonding the windscreen:
When gluing the windscreen make sure that 

a)

there is sufficient overlap of the rubber lip on the roof side.

b)

the screen is length C lower than roof skin (refer to figure 1). This is achieved by
pushing the screen down as far as it will go onto the adhesive flange at the top. 

A pattern for measuring this length is to be presented in a separate Service
Information bulletin.

please refer to Repair Instructions 51 31 000.

(1) Outer roof skin
(2) Windscreen frame
(3) Adhesive strip
(4) Windscreen

Note:

The windscreen wiper has no adverse effect on the level of wind noise when in the
normal rest position.
