5 Series E39 530d (M57) SAL
Release clamp (1).
Pull off vacuum hose (2).
Open locks (3).
Detach heating hoses (4) and tie back to one side.
Secure vacuum hose, oil dipstick guide tube and battery positive
lead (1) with a cable strap (2) to vacuum pipe (3).
Detach fuel feed line on fuel filter unit.
Note:
The clamps (1) do not have to be released.
Release fast release coupling (2) on preheating valve (3).
Lay preheating valve (3) to one side.
Hold engine bonnet/hood.
Raise clamps (1) on both sides and slide upwards.
Unhook dampers (2) on left and right from engine bonnet/hood.
