Insert special tool  11 3 340  into chain tensioner (1).

Note:

If one or both sprocket wheels is/are removed without the
hydraulic chain tensioner, the chain tensioning piston will slip
out and will only be able to be pressed back with considerable
effort.

When releasing camshaft screw connection, grip camshafts at
hexagon drive.

- 

Slacken screw (1) on inlet camshaft.

- 

Slacken screw (2) on exhaust camshaft.

- 

Remove screw (2) from exhaust camshaft.

Slide exhaust sprocket wheel forwards.

Lift timing chain (1) over exhaust sprocket wheel.

Remove exhaust sprocket wheel (2) in direction of arrow.

Remove screw (1).

Lift timing chain (2) over inlet sprocket wheel.

Remove inlet sprocket wheel (3).

Remove special tools  11 6 321  and 11 6 322 .
