To prevent excessive oil discharge when the oil pressure
switch is removed, it is essential to drain the main flow oil
filter.
Caution!
When working on the oil, coolant or fuel circuit, you must
protect the alternator against contamination.
Cover alternator with suitable materials.
Failure to comply with this procedure may result in an
alternator malfunction.
Caution!
Do not damage main flow oil filter cover; release and tighten
down with socket only.
When the main flow oil filter cap is opened, engine oil flows
from the oil filter housing back into the oil sump.
Release main flow oil filter cap and remove towards top.
