Removing and installing or replacing water
pump (M57)
Coolant thermostat removed.
Remove and install coolant thermostat,
refer to 11 53 000.
Caution!
When working on the oil, coolant or fuel circuit, you must protect
the alternator against contamination.
Cover alternator with suitable materials.
Failure to comply with this procedure may result in an alternator
malfunction.
Loosen screws (1).
Remove water pump (2).
During the following work steps, the sealing face on the
crankcase must not be damaged.
