5 Series E39 530d (M57) SAL
Caution!
The air duct can brake at the firewall if not carefully removed
and installed.
Release retaining clips (1).
Carefully turn air duct clockwise until it is no longer locked in
firewall.
Pull air duct forwards and remove towards top.
Open retaining bracket (2).
Remove cover (3).
Open spring (4) and pull microfilter housing upwards.
Remove microfilter housing.
Release fasteners (1).
Detach rubber strip (2).
Remove retaining clips (1).
Remove firewall panel (2).
E38 cars only:
