Loosen screws (1).

Detach molded hose in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly to sealing surfaces of
sealing rings (1).

Insert sealing rings (1) in intake snorkel.

Release clamp (1) on EGR pipe.

Tightening torque,

refer to Technical Data 11 65 10AZ.

Release screw (2).

Release screws (3) and remove heat shield.

Remove EGR pipe.

E39 cars only:

Cut open cable tie (1).

Tie back engine wiring harness (2) to one side.
