5 Series E39 530d (M57) SAL
Lift out acoustic cover.
Important!
The air duct can brake at the firewall if not carefully removed
and installed.
Unfasten clips (1).
Carefully turn air duct clockwise until it is no longer locked in
firewall.
Pull air duct forwards and remove towards top.
Release retaining bracket (2).
Remove microfilter housing cover (3).
Open retaining spring (4).
Turn microfilter housing in direction of arrow and remove upwards.
E38 cars only:
Unscrew bolt (1).
Lift out acoustic cover.
