H.P. pump and pressure regulator

Connect special tool 13 5 410
between high-pressure pump and
pressure sensor of pressure
accumulator,
refer to 13 51 542 .

Actuate starter and read off "actual
rail pressure value". 
If actual value = specified value,
check injectors.
If "actual rail pressure value" is too
low, check pressure regulator.

Pressure regulator

Remove pressure regulator.
Refer to 13 53 570

.

Replace pressure regulator,
refer to 13 53 570 .

Actuate starter and read off "actual
rail pressure value".
If "actual rail pressure value" is too
low, check high-pressure pump.
If actual value = specified value,
read out fault memory. Check stored
fault messages. Rectify faults. Now
clear the fault memory.

H.P. pump

- 

Remove H.P. pump.

Refer to 13 51 004

.

- 

Read fault memory. Check

stored fault messages. Rectify

faults. Now clear the fault

memory.

Remove and install/replace high-
pressure pump,
refer to 13 51 004 .

Injectors

- 

Reinstall pressure line between

high-pressure pump and

pressure accumulator.

- 

Reconnect pressure sensor of

pressure accumulator.

- 

Check injectors,

refer to 13 51 544 .

Remove and install injectors,
refer to 13 53 315 .
