Removing and installing/replacing diesel
pump (supplementary delivery pump)
Remove lower trim panel on left.
E39, M57 without acoustic measure only.
Unlock connector (1) and remove.
Unfasten hose clips (2).
Detach fuel hoses (3) from fuel pump (4).
Release screw (5) on pump bracket.
Withdraw fuel pump from pump bracket (6).
Installation:
Replace hose clamps.
Tightening torque,
refer to 16 12 7AZ.
E39, M57 with acoustic measure only.
Unlock connector (1) and remove.
Unfasten hose clips (2). Detach fuel hoses (3) from fuel pump (4).
Release screw (5). Remove cover (6) with fuel pump (4) with
damping ring.
Installation:
Check and if necessary replace damping ring.
Replace hose clamps.
Tightening torque,
refer to 16 12 7AZ.
