Removing and installing/replacing front
stabilizer (Basis)
Secure engine installation position with special tool and
unfasten left/right engine mounts,
refer to MG 11.
Partially loosen trim beside rear screws.
Brace front axle support with workshop hoist.
Unscrew left and right bolts.
Installation:
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 10 1AZ.
Remove push rod from stabilizer,
refer to 31 35 005.
Remove stabilizer from front axle support.
Installation:
Wet retaining bracket with low-surface-tension water.
Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 31 35 1AZ.
Lower front axle support and pull backwards and downwards. Pull
stabilizer backwards to remove.
Installation:
If necessary, replace rubber mount.
