Removing and installing rear left or right
spring strut shock absorber
Caution!
Pull retainer off air supply unit to ensure that accidental
feedback control of the system cannot occur.
Remove trim (back shelf) for rear shelf,
refer to 51 46 000.
Remove loudspeaker.
Remove wheel,
refer to 36 10 300.
Remove wheel arch trim.
Lift off cover from shock absorber and unfasten nut. If necessary,
disconnect plug connection for EDC.
Installation:
Replace self-locking nuts.Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 33 52 3AZ.
Support wheel carrier with workshop hoist. The brake hose must
not be exposed to traction loads.
Unfasten shock absorber from wheel carrier and remove.
Installation:
Bush (1) in bore on wheel carrier.Tightening Torque,
refer to Technical Data 33 52 1AZ.
