Removing and installing / replacing front ABS
impulse sensor
Caution!
Read and comply with General Information.
Open plug housing.
Remove plug connection from fixture and disconnect.
Remove cable with rubber grommet from fixture on spring strut.
Installation:
Make sure plug connection is properly engaged and rubber
grommets are correctly seated.
Note:
Modified ABS pulse generators will be used as of production date
03/2000. They are secured with one screw only.
Release hexagon-socket-head cap screw(s) (1).
Pull cable out of fixture on spring strut.
Withdraw ABS pulse generator from bore.
Installation:
Clean bore for pulse generator and grease with Staburags
NBU 12/K lubricating grease (refer to BMW service operating
fluids).
Tightening torque 34 51 6AZ
