5 Series E39 530d (M57) SAL
Expose connection point between front section of engine support /
interior end wall and drill out welded spots.
Caution!
Avoid damage to wheel arch and end wall.
Remove engine carrier.
Remove remaining metal panels.
Straighten and grind joint surfaces.
Adjust spare engine support with straightening angle set to fit.
Adjust spare partition wall-carrier plate to fit and mark out holes for
plug welding.
Remove engine support and partition wall-carrier plate.
Clean both sides of connection faces on spare engine support.
