5 Series E39 530d (M57) SAL
Remove wheel arch.
Clean and coat joint surfaces with zinc dust paint.
Note:
View from inner section of wheel arch to outer section of
wheel arch
Clean connection points on the body and coat with zinc dust paint.
Caution!
Roof must be supported!
Fit wheel arch and secure.
Adjust side panel to fit and secure the wheel arch once again if
necessary.
Take off side panel.
Weld outer section of wheel arch on the connection point for the
inner wheel arch,
on the connection point of the inner C-pillar
and on the connection point for the back shelf.
Grind down mating surfaces.
RA Replacing rear left outer section of wheel arch (side panel removed)
