This creates a window 100 mm in length (dimension B) when a
spare is fitted to the vehicle and the windshield reinforcement (2)
is no problem to weld up.

Note:

This illustration shows the connection point on the vehicle with
a spare part fitted

1 = connection point in windshield reinforcement on the vehicle

2 = windshield reinforcement on the vehicle

3 = outer windshield on the vehicle

4 = windshield reinforcement on the spare part

5 = outer windshield on the spare part

Dimension "A" (50 mm) = offset between connection point linking
windshield reinforcement to outer windshield.

Cut spare part to size ensuring that window and various
reinforcement plates are manufactured from the leftover sheet
metal.

Produce reinforcement plates for 

- 

windshield reinforcement

- 

windshield

- 

manufacture side member

cover.

Note:

Overlap of reinforcement plates on each locating place must
be 30 mm, i.e. minimum length of reinforcement plate must be
60 mm.

Align the reinforcement plates.

Drill out holes for plug welding the reinforcement plate. Clean
locating faces.
