5 Series E39 530d (M57) SAL
Coat reinforcement plates and joints on body with zinc dust paint,
fit in and weld.
Coat both sides of mating surfaces on side panel
replacement section with zinc dust paint.
Coat mating surfaces on body with zinc dust paint.
Fit and secure side panel.
Place individual spots along edge of partial replacement for side
panel in such a way that a continuous seam is created.
Caution!
Locate welding spots in a way which prevents distortion
caused by heat elongation. Ensure that welded areas have
cooled sufficiently.
Danger of distortion!
Place spots along wheel housing and wheel arch extension and
grind down.
