Removing and installing/replacing top rear
panel on front seat backrest (luxury seat with
rear-compartment-oriented equipment)

Note:

This document is not applicable to

L7 driver's seat with video system in rear compartment.

Version of L7 driver's seat with video system in rear
compartment,

refer to 52 17 202.

Removing top rear panel on front seat backrest:

Remove bottom rear panel,

refer to 52 17 202.

Move back-rest adjustment as far forward as possible.

Pull off wooden finishers on left/right with fabric adhesive tape (1)
jerkily towards rear/outside.

Installation:

If necessary, remove clip from wooden finisher and install in
left / right rear panel. After installation, the wooden finisher
must be pressed sideways into position; wooden finisher then
positions itself.

Note:

Screw (1) must not be released to remove top rear panel. This
screw (1) only serves to adjust the padding in the rear panel.

Only unfasten screw (2) for dismantling top of rear panel in
next operation.
