5 Series E39 530d (M57) SAL
Unclip retainers (1).
Release screws (2) and remove blower housing completely (3)
in direction of arrow.
Release screws (1) and remove housing base (2).
Unclip retainers (1).
Release screw (1).
Unclip retainers (2).
Pull both housing sections (4) apart and press flange (6) in
direction of arrow out of housing opening.
Unclip temperature sensor holder (5) in direction of arrow from
evaporator (3).
Pull evaporator (3) in direction of arrow out of housing.
Installation:
Make sure all moving parts are correctly seated (linkage, flaps).
Make sure both housing sections (4) are correctly seated.
Make sure temperature sensor cable outside housing is of
sufficient length.
