Measuring adapter for xenon headlights

E38, E39

Situation: 

To enable diagnosis of the xenon headlights on the E38, E39 and future models, the scope
of the DIS pre-set measurements has been extended to include "Xenon headlight test" as
from CD V 7.0. The measuring adapter with order no. 63 1 000 is required for carrying out
these measurements. The control unit, high voltage unit and lamp are all diagnosed.

This diagnostic tool has been developed to enable the swift and accurate diagnosis of 
faulty parts. With immediate effect it is only necessary to replace individual components in
the event of faults arising. The results of the diagnostic test together with a screen print-out
should be used for documentation purposes in warranty cases. The screen print-out should
be returned together with the damaged part. If, in exceptional cases, the result "Fault
unknown" is displayed, the measurement should be repeated and documented with a
screen print-out in warranty cases. Both screen print-outs should be returned together with
the complete headlight.

Procedure:

Offer tools will be supplied automatically in accordance with the current tools agreement.
