5 Series E39 530d (M57) TOUR
Loosen screws (1).
Remove oil intake neck (2) on oil pump.
Release screws (3).
Remove oil pump (4).
Release all hexagon bolts.
Remove reinforcement shell (1).
Note:
Before removing pistons, remove oil carbon residue from
cylinder wall.
Remove connecting-rod cover.
Remove connecting rods with pistons from cylinder head end.
