Removing and installing intake air manifold
(M57)
Note:
After removing the manifold, it is absolutely essential to
seal the intake passages on the cylinder head immediately.
Instructions for disconnecting and connecting battery,
refer to General Information MG 12 .
Disconnect negative battery lead.
Caution!
If the charge air hoses are not fitted without grease and dry,
this will result in supercharger failure.
Fit charge air hoses without grease and dry.
E39 cars only:
Detach positive terminal cover (1) in direction of arrow.
