5 Series E39 530d (M57) TOUR
All cars:
Release hose clamp (1) on turbocharger.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 11 65 10AZ.
Caution!
Fit charge air hoses without grease and dry.
Note:
Seal turbocharger opening with a cap.
Release hose clamp on intercooler. Detach charge air hose from
intercooler on right.
Remove charge air pipe (2) with charge air hose.
Release screw (1) on bracket on primary catalytic converter.
Loosen screws (1).
Remove sealing cover (1) from shield plate. Unclip seal plugs
upwards.
