5 Series E39 530d (M57) TOUR
Remove retaining ring (1).
Unhook lever.
E39 cars only:
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Turn fan connector box (2) in direction of arrow and remove.
Release screws (3).
Installation:
To prevent damaging clutch and brake pedal switch (4),
gently press both pedals before inserting screws (3).
E38 cars only:
Remove connector (1).
Unfasten screws (2).
Remove pedal travel sensor (3).
Installation:
Pay attention to spacers (4).
To prevent damaging brake pedal switch (5), gently press
pedal before inserting screws (2).
All cars:
Caution!
It is absolutely essential to adhere strictly to the adjusting
angle.
Screw on lever as shown in illustration (70
°
) to pedal travel
sensor.
