5 Series E39 530d (M57) TOUR
Disconnect plug from reversing light switch (on transmission).
Unclip cable from transmission.
Note:
Pressure line of clutch slave cylinder (2) remains connected.
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 21 52 5AZ .
Important!
Slowly relieve tension on clutch slave cylinder (2) as otherwise
air will be drawn in through sealing sleeve.
Remove clutch slave cylinder (2) and tie back to one side.
Insert special tool 11 7 370 (1) between engine oil sump (2)
and front axle support (3).
Carefully lower transmission.
Release and lever out bearing pin (1) with a screwdriver.
