Removing and installing / replacing rear left
or right shock absorber (Touring)
Note:
The only way to establish whether a shock absorber has to
be replaced is to test it when installed with a shock tester or
when removed with a shock absorber test rig.
Read and comply with Information on replacing shock
absorbers.
Refer to Technical Data 31 32 Shock absorber.
Important!
Pull retainer off air supply unit to ensure that accidental
feedback control of the system cannot occur.
Remove trunk floor trim.
Unscrew bolts and take off cover.
Installation:
Replace seal.
Press protective cap down on longitudinal sides and pull off.
