5 Series E39 530d (M57) TOUR
Weld the joint surfaces of the side member.
Fit individual welding spots so close together that a continuous
seam is created.
Mark the door opening with points.
Weld the underbody.
Grind down welded surfaces.
Caution!
When welding in the foam area, note hazard of combustion;
only weld short seams at a time and allow adequate time for
cooling.
Weld the joint surface in the interior.
Grind down welded surfaces.
Prepare and fit the plate insert for the cut-out area of the B-column
exterior plate.
Clean the joint surfaces.
Fit and weld the plate insert.
Grind down welded surfaces.
