Replacing one shock absorber for rear
bumper (touring)

(Bumper removed):

Remove rear bumper if necessary,

refer to 51 12 000

Removing rear left shock absorber:

Open trunk lid and hook in covers on seal.

Open left lid and remove.

Unfasten nuts (1) and take out oddments tray (2) upward.

Note:

Mark position of shock absorber.

Unfasten inside nuts (1) and pull off shock absorber (2) toward
rear.

For tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 51 12 2AZ

Installation:

To adjust bumper height, loosen nuts (1) and adjust bumper
height.

Installation:

Install seal (1) on shock absorber (2).
