Removing and installing/replacing window
cavity cover strip on rear door, outside left or
right (touring)

Note:

If the window cavity cover strip is only to be raised at the
front, do not remove "trim on window frame of rear door,
rear (51 34 425)".

Remove and install trim on window frame of rear door, rear,

refer to 51 34 425

Stick adhesive tape (2) below window cavity cover strip (1) (risk of
damage).

Using special tool 00 9 311 (beginning at front proceeding to rear),
lever out window cavity cover strip (1).

Carefully remove window cavity cover strip (1) at rear from rubber
seal (2).

Installation:

Coat window cavity cover strip (1) with anti-friction agent.

Window cavity cover strip (1) must be flush with door edge at
front and rear.

If applicable, replace defective clips (1). To remove, first slide top
clip down a little out of strip (2).
