Installation:

Keep sealing faces clean and free of oil.

Apply coat of Drei Bond 1209 to joint between cylinder head
and lower timing case cover (refer to BMW Parts Service).

Seat new rubber seal in groove.

Installation:

Ensure that seal is correctly seated, then fit timing case cover
with inserted screw (1).

Note:

It is not possible to insert screw (1) after fitting the timing case
cover.

Installation:

Install screws (1) and fit flush with cylinder head.
