Replacing left knock sensors (cylinder bank
5-8) (S62)
Interrogate fault memory of DME control unit.
Switch off ignition.
Remove manifold for intake air,
refer to 11 61 050.
Note:
Remove and install idle speed control valve,
refer to 13 41 500.
Unclip plug connections (1) and (2).
Release screws (3).
Remove retaining bracket (4).
Note:
For a better overview, the following work step is shown on an
engine that has been removed.
Disconnect plug connection (1) of left knock sensor pair from
cable duct.
