Replacing two rubber mounts for rear axle
carrier

Caution!

Pull retainer off air supply unit to ensure that accidental
feedback control of the system cannot occur.

Unfasten exhaust system from rear support.

Unfasten handbrake Bowden cable from brackets.

If necessary, remove connector from ride height sensor.

Remove left and right trim panels.

Remove wheels.

Support rear axle with workshop hoist.

Unscrew left and right screws (1) and lower rear axle approx. 40 ...
45 mm.

M57:

If necessary, mark fitted damping disks.

Installation:

The rubber-coated detent plate (2) must be installed at the
rear in the driving direction.

M5:
