Removing and installing/replacing hydraulic
chain tensioner (M47T2)

Special tools required:

11 3 340

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove timing case cover.

Warning!

Tensioner pistons are under spring pressure.

Risk of injury during removal of plug mandrels.

Press tensioning rail (1) in direction of arrow.

Insert special tools  11 3 340  into chain tensioner (3).

Release screws (3).

Remove chain tensioner (2).
