Situation:
Transport mode, first introduced in July 2002, and the battery master switch (option 818 -
not permanently installed), make an important contribution to maintaining the battery and its
charge until the vehicle is handed over to the customer.
Procedure:
All important information about deactivating transport mode and about working with the
battery master switch on the two model series are concisely summarised for the dealer
organisation in this document.
