Announcement of airbag brochure

all vehicles, except E65

Situation:

The brochure entitled "Everything you need to know about the airbag" presents the safety
system employed in BMW vehicles (except E65), looking in particular detail at the airbag
system.

The history of the development of the airbag is presented alongside its modern "intelligent"
technology and its incorporation into the overall passive safety system, which also consists
of the safety bodyshell and the seat belt system.

The central element of the brochure is the airbag system's triggering philosophy. It makes
use of numerous sketches and drawings to explain the complex logic by which the system
triggers (or does not trigger).

The brochure is intended as an argumentation aid for the specialist in the workshop. The
information it contains can be used to provide a competent answer to sensitive questions
from customers on the subject of safety.

Procedure:

Every BMW dealer will receive one copy of the brochure free of charge.

It is possible to order additional copies (these will be invoiced).
