Checking the set of small accessories

All models 

Situation: 

Since around February 1996, the set of small accessories supplied up to now loose with the
vehicle has been undergoing a phase of standardization across all factories.

The small accessories are now supplied in a bonded transparent plastic envelope and
located in the luggage compartment.

The car keys can likewise be found in a bonded transparent plastic envelope located in the
glove box.

The door/ignition key (workshop key) is attached to the windscreen wiper stalk.

The contents of the set of small accessories depends on the equipment level of the vehicle
and is located around the car as follows:

1.

In the luggage compartment, packed in a transparent plastic envelope:

-

torch

-

aerial rod for radio

-

aerial rod for telephone

-

cigarette lighter

-

magazine for CD changer

-

magazine with CD for navigation computer

-

screws/washers/caps for fixing registration plate 

-

leather passport wallet

-

remote-control unit for independent heating

-

on-board literature (Owner's Handbooks, Supplementary Owner's Handbooks,
radio operating instructions, Service Booklet, list of dealers)

-

bumper cover when lashing eyes fitted

-

plugs for luggage-compartment partition panel when special equipment 818 is
fitted without through-loading system

-

spark plugs for M models

-

E36 lifting platform locator (optional)

In the luggage compartment, loose (not packed):

-

wiper blades for driver and passenger side (for vehicles for shipment overseas
with throw-away wiper blade only)

-

full wheel covers

-

floor mats

-

foot rest (for US version only)

-

rear foot rests

-

detachable trailer coupling head 

-

lifting platform locator (for national versions 807, 810, 812 and 838, in an extra
transparent plastic envelope)
