operating instructions for the GT1.

Switch on the GT1 using the On/Off switch.

Insert the up-to-date version of the basic CD labelled "GT1 Basic" in the DVD
drive.

Using the On/Off switch, switch the GT1 off and then on again.

The basic installation then runs automatically.

Remove the Basic CD from the DVD drive when the message "End of cdinstall ...
system halted" appears.

Using the On/Off switch, switch the GT1 off and then on again.

On the "Administration Language Selection/Dealer Identification" screen, select
the language.

Below the choice of languages is a section entitled "Brand". Here you should
select which marque or marques are to be available following installation.
The following choices are possible:
•
BMW
Following installation, data for all BMW model series will be available.
•
MINI
Following installation, data for all MINI model series will be available.
•
Rolls-Royce
This selection can only be made by Rolls-Royce dealers.
Note:
Combinations of brands may be selected. At present, only the combination BMW
and MINI is permissible.
Select the brand(s) required.

Confirm the language and brand(s) selected by pressing the right arrow.

Enter your dealer data or check the dealer data displayed. Confirm this by
selecting End/Exit.

The diagnosis system will restart and display the DIS start screen. You can now
start the installation of the DIS programs DVD (see point 4).

Installation of "Programs" DVD (DISplus and GT1)
The basic CD (if provided) must be installed before starting installation

Switch on DISplus or GT1.
Note:
If the system selection DIS / C1 is installed on the DISplus (see point 2), the DIS
diagnosis system must be selected by touching the car symbol within 10 seconds of
the selection symbols (passenger car / C1) appearing.

Install "Programs" DVD:
"Administration", DIS "Installation"

Install TIS (optional).

After successful installation, quit Administration by selecting "End" - "Exit".
The buttons "Measuring technology", "Diagnosis" and possibly "TIS" are then
active on the DIS start screen on the DISplus and GT1.

If the C1 application is to be installed on the DISplus, continue with point 6.
