New installation specifications from Progman DVD version 20.0
Situation:
Due to the introduction of Progman, the installation of the Software Service Station has
changed from Progman DVD 20.0 onwards.
Procedure:
1.
Basic installation of SSS
2.
Installation of "Progman" DVD after basic installation (SSS)
3.
Installation of "Progman" DVD without basic installation (SSS)
4.
Installation of "Progman" DVD (DISplus and GT1)
1.
Basic installation of SSS

Switch on the SSS using the On/Off switch.

Insert the up-to-date version of the basic CD labelled "SSS Base XPe" in the DVD
drive.

Using the On/Off switch, switch the SSS off and then on again.

The basic installation then runs automatically.

After a short time, the message appears: "Base DVD installation in process. This
will take approx. 5 minutes.".

Remove the Base CD from the DVD drive and close the drive again when the
DVD tray opens and the following message appears: "Please remove the Base
DVD and close the tray."

The "Windows XP embedded" start mask briefly appears. The DVD tray then
opens and you will be prompted to insert the Progman DVD.
"Please insert Progman DVD! Installation starts automatically."
Insert the current Progman DVD in the DVD drive and close the DVD drive.

Installation of "Progman" DVD after basic installation (SSS)

When the basic installation has been completed, the system will restart. The
"Windows XP embedded" start mask briefly appears. The DVD tray then opens
and you will be prompted to insert the Progman DVD.
"Please insert Progman DVD! The installation starts automatically."
Insert the current Progman DVD in DVD drive and close the DVD drive.
A progress indicator shows how far the copying process is.

The contents of the Progman DVD are copied onto the SSS.

The DVD drive opens automatically. The DVD can be removed. Then close the
drive again.

The copied data are now installed.
A progress indicator shows how far the installation process is.

When the installation process has been completed, the system will restart.

The "Initial setup - language" mask appears in the display. Select a language and
confirm this with "Continue". The system will then immediately switch to the
language selected.
