5 Series E60 520i (N46T) SAL
Turn back special tool 11 9 293 .
Remove special tools 11 9 291 and 11 9 292 .
Rotate eccentric shaft at hexagon as illustrated in order to reduce
tension on torsion spring (2).
Pretension torsion spring (2) with a cable strap (1), feed out
from roller (3) and carefully relieve tension.
Warning!
Risk of injury and damage possible.
The following text describes the removal of the bearing bracket
and the inlet camshaft.
Comply with the recommended procedure and use of the special
tools.
It is not possible to remove the bearing bracket and inlet camshaft
without special tools.
Rotate eccentric shaft (1) at hexagon as shown in illustration
back to minimum stroke position.
