5 Series E60 525d (M57TU) SAL
Crank engine with special tool 11 6 480 to firing TDC position of
first cylinder.
Caution!
Do not crank the engine back.
Pull out protective cap at rear of crankcase underneath starter
motor.
Secure crankshaft with special tool 11 2 300 .
Note:
Illustrations show M57.
The cam tips on the first cylinder point in the direction of travel to
the right (see arrows).
Open plug (1).
Tightening torque, 11 14 4AZ .
Installation:
Replace sealing ring.
