Removing and installing or replacing water
pump (M47TU/M57TU)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove fan cowl.
•
Remove fan.
•
Remove A/C compressor drive belt.
•
Remove alternator drive belt.
•
Remove EGR cooler (automatic transmission only).
•
Remove coolant thermostat.
Release screws (1).
Remove water pump (2).
The sealing surface on the engine block must not be damaged
during the following tasks.
Cut connecting links (1) on gasket (2) accordingly.
