5 Series E60 525i (N52) SAL
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Drawing off, evacuating and filling the A/C system are not
included in the time value given for this work operation
•
Remove alternator drive belt
•
Remove front underbody protection
•
Remove coolant thermostat
Disconnect plug connection (1).
Release screws (2, 3) and disconnect pressure and suction lines.
Installation:
Replace all sealing rings and moisten with refrigerant oil.
Tightening torque 64 52 1AZ
.
Note:
Secure compressor (3) against falling out.
Release bolt (2) and if necessary remove with bushing behind.
Release bolts (1) and remove compressor (3) towards front.
Installation:
Make sure bushings are correctly fitted.
If necessary, replace faulty bushings.
Tightening torque 64 52 3AZ
.
After installation:
•
Evacuate and fill A/C system
•
Fill and vent cooling system and check for leaks
