Removing and installing/replacing steering
column lock

Note:

Steering column lock can only replaced in vehicles from 09/2005
with electric steering column adjustment.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

•

Remove trim panel for pedal assembly.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Note:

There is the risk of mixing up the 3-pin plug connection for the
footwell light.

Release shear screws (2).

Remove steering column lock (3).

Installation:

Spherical side of shim must point to steering column lock (3).

After installation:

•

Carry out operational check.
