Modification to existing special tool 51 2 190

E60, E61, E63, E64, E65, E83, E85 and E87

Situation: 

Since the beginning of 2004, the above model series have been fitted with noise-optimised
door locks. 
For this reason, the existing special tool 51 2 190 has to be modified to ensure that no
damage can be caused to the new door locks. 
The conversion of the special tool is described in Enclosure 1. 
The modified parts are designed so that they can also be used with earlier door locks. 
The modified width means that special tool 51 2 195 can be discontinued.

Please refer to Enclosure 1.

Procedure: 

The offer tools needed to perform modification will be supplied to every contractual partner
with a tools agreement.
