5 Series E60 530d (M57T2) SAL
Remove gasket (1).
Free sealing faces (2) of seal debris and clean.
Apply a thin and even coating of Drei Bond 1209 liquid sealant
(sourcing reference: BMW Parts Service) in area (1)

To partition levels
•
To end cover of engine block
Important!
Oil sump gasket must not be lubricated. Observe different
tightening torques of M6 and M8 screws.
Install oil sump with a new gasket.
Convert the oil level sensor when replacing the oil sump.
Assemble engine.
