Replacing wiring harness section for engine
(M57TU)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Read out DDE fault memory.
•
Disconnect battery ground wire.
•
Remove left fresh air duct.
•
Remove tension strut.
•
Remove air cleaner housing.
•
Remove electronics box cover.
•
Remove intake air manifold.
•
Remove underbody protection at front/rear.
•
Remove reinforcement plate.
Unfasten following plug connections:

All plug connections on glow elements
2
Plug connection, electric throttle (EU4)
3
Plug connection, charge air sensor
4
Plug connection, A/C compressor
5
Plug connection, heater element (cold countries
only)
6
Plug connection, EVNT (electric servodrive,
turbocharger EU4)
Unfasten following plug connections:
