5 Series E60 530d (M57TU) SAL
Remove plug (1) from special tool bore.
Hold crankshaft in TDC position with special tool 11 2 300 .
Caution!
Do not turn the engine back.
Special tool 11 2 300 must be removed before engine is
started.
Fit special tool 11 6 321 on inlet camshaft (1).
Note:
Special tool 11 6 321 must lie flush on cylinder head.
For a better overview, this work step is shown without the vacuum
pump.
Fit special tool 11 6 321 on exhaust camshaft (1).
Note:
Special tool 11 6 321 must lie flush on cylinder head.
If necessary, adjust camshaft timing.
Assemble engine.
