5 Series E60 530d (M57TU) SAL
Secure special tools 11 6 321 and 11 6 322 .
Tighten down exhaust gear wheel with special tool 00 9 120 .
Note:
When tightening screw connection, grip camshaft at hexagon.
Tightening specification, 11 31 4AZ
.
Using special tool 11 6 480 , crank engine twice in direction of
engine rotation until first cylinder is back in TDC firing position.
Check timing again.
Caution!
Do not turn the engine back.
Secure special tools 11 6 321 and 11 6 322 on inlet camshaft.
Note:
Special tool 11 6 321 must lie flush on cylinder head.

camshaft.
