Replacing charge-air pressure sensor
(M57TU)
Necessary preliminary tasks:
•
Remove acoustic cover.
•
E65: Remove assembly wall at rear.
•
E60: Remove lower section of microfilter housing on left.
Installation location of charge-air pressure sensor:
On intake air manifold, rear
Note:
Illustrations show M57.
Disconnect connector (1).
Unscrew bolt (2).
Remove charge-air pressure sensor (3).
Installation:
Replace sealing ring (1) on charge-air pressure sensor if
necessary.
Prior to installation, apply a thin coat of petroleum jelly to sealing
ring (1) on charge-air pressure sensor.
